Say Hello to Sanrio’s $200 Million ‘Hello Kitty’ Movie reports on a movie expected to cost between $150-240 million to produce and market.  The movie hopes to buttress the character's annual sales averaging over $600 million. Since appearing in 1975, Hello Kitty has achieved billions in revenues. These sales are generated from over 50,000 licensed products. The movie's debut is anticipated in 2019.
