| Lego has become the biggest toy company in the world as reported in How Can Mattel, Inc. And Other Toymakers Beat Lego?. Lego got a huge boost with the release of The Lego Movie. Mattel, on the other hand, had a 7 percent decline in the first half of this year. Not surprisingly, Sony Pictures and Mattel announced a Barbie live-action movie. Barbie will play a Mary Poppins-like character. Can Mattel replicate the success of the Frozen movie? |
